Adjectives Ending with –ing Vs Ending with –ed

A.    Ada banyak pasang kata sifat berakhir dengan-ing dan -ed. Contoh : BORING dan BORED.
Lihat situasi berikut :





            “Mr.Tong fang has been doing the same job for a very long time. Everyday he does exactly the same thing again and again. He doesn’t enjoy it any more and would like to do something different”.
            Answer :          Mr.Tong fang’s job is boring
                                    Mr.Tong fang is bored (with his job).

seseorang-ed jika sesuatu (atau seseorang) adalah-ing. atau, jika sesuatu adalah-ing, itu membuat anda-ed. Jadi :
Ø  Mr.Tong fang is bored because his job is boring.
Ø  Mr.Tong fang’s job is boring,so Mr.Tong fang is bored. (not “Mr.Tong fang is boring.”)
Sekarang lihat contoh dibawah ini:
Someone in interested because something (or someone) is interesting :
Ø  Rahul is interested in politics. (not “interesting in politics.”)
Ø  Rahul find politics interesting.
Ø  Are you interested in buying a car?
Ø  Did you meet anyone interesting at the party?
